Fruit farm field trip with grace academy!!! lotsa pictures

 First August,2012...
Off we went to the Fruit farm and a mini zoo. Which is in Desaru...
If you want to go it cost about rm22 it includes lunch... fruit farm tour, mini zoo... and a fruit pack..
On the bus... Backsit gang!!! lol... (picture above)

 YAy!!! we reach our destination....

 well... the guy in white is the tour guide (above)...

from here we start our educational journey.. lol...

And me with the dragon fruit plant... there are 3 types of dragon fruit...which is the red, white and the yellow breed...
The flower looks good right? when it drops off the fruit would grow from there... (below)

The nangka or jackfruit is like huge.... lol...

looks like a bee hive right? lol...
Thank God it is not... or not ... i might not be blogginng now... lol...

Do you know that you cant pluck the fruits there... we will be fined Rm500 if you do so...
However if your freaking rich...
GO ON A PICKING SPREE... lol..

Buah Kedongdong...
It would make a awesome summer drink...
its sour if eaten like this... the skin can not be eaten...
to drink it... blend it up add syrup and sour plum...  delish!!!

 A type of vegetable malay's usually eat wiith belacan...
it is nice when it is cooked with sambal...
ordered it before when i was having ikan bakar...(above)

 Some people would say its ribena!!!
i mean the drink... however it is not ribena... its a roselle plant...
it is rich in antioxidants and healing properties when consumed... (above)

 Misai kuching... Its a herbal plant ...
it is said that it could cure diabetes..(above)

 Yes it is... FERTILIZER!!!

Bad for us, good for the plants...
as the saying goes something is one persons junk but to another its a treasure... lol..

 This is a common one... banana tree...
there are many types...
it seems that the red banana is poisonous.. not meant for eating...
got one type of banana where it is only fruitful once after that they will chop of the mother tree and another little tree or baby tree will grow out of it... (above)

 There is lime tree
Noni tree... it seems to be poisonous last time no body dare to eat it...
now!!! people cook it as it cures cancer,,, but not too much of it... its still poisonous...

RM2 for the fish food ... and there are drinks sold there ... fruit juice... RM3... i tried the passion fruit juice it was super sweet!!!
The fishes there are sooo.... huge and fat...
I think lots of tourist come to feed them...

i think he say... thousand bees.... female bees go out get nectar... Only female bees sting... and then they die...

I have seen this before.. and i told the kids "look at the coffee beans" omg.... then i change look at coffee fruit.. lol... blur already...
I was trying to follow the guide and get thee kids listening ...
although the guide was with a portable mic...
He was like fast and not very clear...
i think it is the language... lol... anyway... overall he was very knowledgable... lol...

Just went we thought it would be just an ordinary day...
a student went and grab a duck by its neck n threw it into a small river.. lol...
Thank God it was not harm... lol...

Kids went into the cage to feed and play with the rabbits!!!
They look like animals themselves... lol... just kiding...
It is nice to watch theem enjoying themselves... lol..

We all went to the bus to go for lunch....
Hungry hungry!!!!

 Before lunch...
They had a talk on their honey products...
It is pure honey...
a small bottle is rm25 and for the mature honey is rm28...
it is not cheap seriously... but it is good i guess....
i did not buy... lol...
well... they say that pure honey do not have expiry date... if your honey has expiry date... it is fake!!!
and honey should not be kept in the fridge... as the vitamins and enzyme will deteriorate...
good for asthma...
They sell Royal Jelly too... good for skin n health... but it cost rm250 for a small container....
they sell honey with tongkat ali as well.. lol...

took a picture while the guy is preaching away about how good the honey is...

 Then we went for lunch...
sorry did not take any picture... was hungry after helping out then just ate....
they served fried rice, fried chicken, sausage, cucumber and a super sweet drink.. lol...

After lunch we did some shopping...
my mum bought fruits and i am not sure... but she bought stuffs... lol...
to me it looks like a mini market... not interested.... lol...

 Before we head back to school...
They gave out fruit packs of local fruits...

 And off we went back!!!!!

We left in the morning about 8amplus and returned about 2pm plus...

It was an experience...
I think the kids enjoy it...

An experience to be done only ONCE!!! (part 1)

Well... in the begining of July  me, my sister, my mother and grandmother.
When on a field trip all the way to penang then to ipoh..
It was overall super tiring..

We started off from JB at 10pm supposingly but the bus wasn't fit for driving so we left about 12am..
I shall not named what bus is it in case it gets back to me. :)
We reach penang after 10hours..
My grandma can't really walk properly... we brought the wheel chair along...
I know what i am heading into... lots of pushing the wheelchair... carrying of bags....

But what to do?
Penang is my grandma's birth place and she say she wants to go...
Its like her wish... she say if not for us she will never get to go...

Actually we though of driving up me and my mum would take turns driving but my grandma is scared as of the hours we are to drive... she say it would be dangerous. She say if we are driving she is not going...
So on the bus we went!!!

Went we reach there we took a cab to our hotel to check in...

WE stayed in Nur Ancasa.

Its is like a flat apartment with air conditioned rooms...

They have 3 bedrooms, a living room, toilet and so call kitchen,....

This nasi lemak is my first meal there...
it was nice actually...
a cab driver introduce us to eat there...
sorry i don't remember what that place is called..
anyway it was then raining heavily ...
it kinda flooded....

so call chee chong fun... taste horrit.. lol...

Asam laksa... not nice either... lol...

Here is my sister and grandma...

Yea yea.... looks like i have an obsession with the wheel chair...
but na... thats not the case..
after the rain we were waiting for the cab... it took quiet a while as the cab driver says his caught up somewhere else..
So.... go Picture GAGA!!! lol...

We bought durian flavoured coffee there...
seems that the women over charge us..
cause i saw the same coffee in ipoh and its sold much much much cheaper....
and shes like super grumpy and stingy... well... some people are just like that...
Maybe life sucks for her...

and what do i think of the drink???
lol... i hate durian so.... ew... for me...
its not very nice according to my mum... aka coffee lover...

After when we were back in the hotel... we all took a nap...
i suggested that mum and granma should try put on a mask.. its an anti aging and skin tighting mask... if i am not wrong.. lol...
Mum and grandma agreed to my idea ...
esspecially grandma shes like super happy all that...
i mean when she reach penang she was happy but now doing mask some more...

You know what she say???
she said that she lived for 80years already frist time put mask... lol...
it was hillarious... so vain...
see thats me trying to place the mask on her....

See sooo.... relaxed.... lol..

and mum... lol...

enjoying life... lol....

After a nice nap...
WE went for a walk!!!!
It was in the evening it seems that the shops in that area was already closing...
However we walked a little and did a little shopping...
 Me, my sister and my mum took turns pushing grandma in her whell chair...
it was quite new .. Mum bought it for her...

 They look funny....
grandma was like happy...
don't see her picture... like that....

 She was the one chattering away....
so nice this place....
Thank God got the chance to came to penang....
blah blah.... alot....

 The roads are kinda quiet already...
soooo.... we went for Dinner...
We ate normal food... so... no pictures... lol

The walking was enough and tiring for the first day!!!

The second day....
We went for breakfast....
see see...

my sis made her own sandwich....
yummy...

we went for a walk...
before we are off to ipoh.... by bus... :)

It was much much busier...
The sun was like super hot.... look at my sister above...
i took a picture by puting my sun glasses over my handphone lens...
nice huh... lol...

after some shopping... we are off to the bus station and heading towards ipoh....
