A short trip to Taiwan!!! review...

HI i am back..
A short trip to a Taiwan shop....
It seems they have another branch. However this shop is located in Johor Jaya, Johor Bahru. It is opposite Hong Kong boy Restaurant beside a massage parlor.

As you can see the menu the presentation of the menu is some what interesting really colorful...

If you can't read mandarin like me..
They have little tiny english writings...
Some of the mandarin words however is not explained in english writing...

Thank God for my friend and the server..
They are really friendly...
i mean the server They would explain if you ask what is contain in the dish...

They serve Taiwanese beef noodles, spicy noodles, Rice dishes with different kinds of topings,
to dumplings....
very famous fried chicken...

My guy is in love with shilin's fried chicken...
unhealthy but tasty.... lol...
Most of the world's most tasties food are deep fried in OIL!!!!!!

Anyway.... back to this taiwan shop... if you are able to see whats on the menu then you roughly know what they are serving...

In Johor alone there are many taiwanese shop....
Is this any good????

I and Chin wee my long time friend decided to give it a try..
Before this we went for a swim and jacuzzi near his house's club house in Mt. austin...
We knew each other about 5 years or so....
met in an indian wedding of his brother's tution teacher and for me its my ex aunty's friend if i am not wrong....
My ex aunty bought me a punjabi suit...
Nice purple suit where she put gold necklaces and earings on me...

My first time being all dressed up in an indian wedding... am dress for the occasion... thats what i can say..

And we met cause we were the only chiense around... naturally we click... :)

OKOK... draw back your focus to the food...

OK... as you can see...
Taiwan cold snow desserts are one of the most famous dishes that it is a must order went your in a taiwanese restaurant...

It is mango snow ice... really yyummy....
The mango is sweet... the black pearls are not too soft....
it has a chew to it...
and the snow ice are flavoured...

It is not too sweet...
by the way i don't get it why some people hate their desserts to be sweet...
Hello..!!!. it is desserts they are meant to be sweet maybe not too sweet until it is like drinking syrup...

Well what did we order????
Chin wee had Beef noodles..
He told me that if one must eat taiwanese food...
one should stry their beef noodle as it is the standard marker for all the dishes here... or he meant something like that as he continues saying that if the beef noodle is not nice the other dish are assume not up to the taiwanese food standard...

Wa... i didn't know that....
em.... but personally i think it defers according to one's taste buds...
to him the beef noodle is not like the taiwanese one...
Though it looks good....

What did i have???
as you can see below...
it is like a rice bento but taiwanese version...
what's in it???
Rice, fried pork with onion, and fried egg...

i realise when one eats out they don't really serve lots of vegetables with whatever dish that has been ordered...

How's the taste of this dish???
According to my standards... it is just like normal...
the pork is not really nice... not flavourful enough...

egg is normal fried.... and rice is ya... not bad quality rice...

But

seriously i can prep up a dish like this that taste even better...

Then again it is according to my taste buds...

This next dish is some pork dumplings....
it is pan fried both sides...
not that bad...
but one advise...
Do consume it while it is HOT!!!!

The skin become chewy after it's cooled ....

This is not too bad... lol...

Well...
Lets talk about the atmosphere....
It is i can say a cosy and personalize place...
Look at the chairs it gives a feeling that it is more of the retro taiwan place with the lights that is kinda yellowish...
The pictures are as i heard they are the shops owners personal pictures...

Lots of people come with their family for a meal...

Even my family... lol...
My grandmum wasn't with us today...
But this pictures were older then the ones above...
i found these pictures in my computer and realise it is from the same place...
but as i have remembered the food taste better then...

this is their take on the taiwanese green tea and red bean dessert...
It is okay i like the mango one better...
but the green tea chewy balls are kinda unique worth a try...

As i say taiwanese fried chicken...
in this case adding rice and egg...

i don't quiet remember what noodles my parents ate...
but then it was nicer....

Well maybe that day when i went with Chin wee the chef wasn't in a good mood...
As i recall then and now....
It was much pleasurable then... i mean the food....

Or maybe it is the company???
Oops... sorry Chin wee... no offence ya....

This is one place i say it is a 50/50 chance i might go back there again...
Maybe just for their mango dessert???
haha...

depends when the craving comes....

anyway

Thankz for droping by....
do follow me for more insides....

Shall we Tango with TenGu????

TenGu!!!!!
What is it...?
Basically it is a place where they serve food on hot pots...
it is almost like stone grill but it serve japanese cusine.
It is located in Jusco Aeon Terbau City Johor Bahru ,3rd floor...

On week days you are able to have it for a much cheaper price.
YOu have to purchase their drink... which comes in 2 flavours...
1) pamelo and
2) pineapple fizze

as you can the in the broucher...
you are able to enjoy the meals for a 50% discounted price.

I brought my mum to try it out...
Actually i and my sister made a pack to eat there one day...
As the place is quiet new...

We ordered and we waited...
The server told us to self serve ourselves to some soups...
FREE FLOW SOUPs it seems...lol...

Two types of soups are served there.
Mushroom soup... the obivious and well known one...
and Mongolian soup...

Mushroom soup although it is spelled the same but it varies in taste... seriously...
For this right... you have to consume it while it is hot...
as it gets extremely thick when it cools down...

The Mongolian soup is unique... i like it...
It tasted like indian soup.... or soury soup... em... i can't seem to put my tastebuds to words..
But it is a good starter...

The place atmosphere is quiet nice...
quiet relaxing...

look at what i have ordered!!!!
Ramen with black pepper sause and beef...
You have to cook your own meat...

So i did...
The cooked meat looks raw...
it was pinkish in the middle...
the serve say you have to eat beef like this or not it would be too tough...
True enough the meat was really tender...
My mum suspects they soak it in a solution to tenderice the beef.

The server was really sweet she says if i want it fully cooked or well done she can have it done for me...
Tumbs up!!!

The ramen noodles here ... i choose the black pepper sause to go with it...
There is another choice of sause but then i have forgotten what is it...
anyway... the ramen is kinda spicy as you eat continue to eat it....
If you can't take the heat then don't go for this sause the server will warn you about it. :)

But It would be great it they have more vegetables for my dish.

The drinks as you can see...
Are in mugs that is shaped like boots...
and we have a pair of boots!!!

which drink is nicer???
my vote goes to the pamelo drink...
the pineapple one is too gassy and its too pungent...

ANd have a look at what my mum ordered...
She ordered salmon and beef patty with vegetables and rice..
they serve it with a side sause which again you can choose the flavour...

Well... as you can see my mum is eating it...
shes not feeling too well that time ...
anyway... about the food...
the salmon stinks... don't know why... it smells really bad...
fishy smell... my mum ask me to try then throws it in my pot then that portion of noodles are not meant for eating.... so my mum ate it.. lol...
and the patty is ok...
my mum say it is nice...
to me it is just okay....

Me being siliy...

There have this buzzer
soooo.... press the button and the server will come ...
service is good...and fast...
they are friendly...
but went people come in and go out of the restaurant they would shout some japanese phases...
It is kinda irritating...
It's a Japanese custom thingy... i understand...

Trying sooo hard to finish the drink...
Seriously speaking the food served here are in large quantity...
By the end of the meal... you don't feel like walking...
you just wanna sit there and  sleep...
too much food at one go is a bad thing...

Overall... IN MY HUMBLE OPINION....
We were super full.
But not satisfied...
Why?
It is not exactly pleasing to the taste buds...

Eating it once is enough to last you for the long time...
as in another word
I won't go back there to eat for the second time.
The price is quiet costly if for not the promotion...
Not my type of food.. not used to the taste...
as i have said.

This is my review...
If the food was as good as it's service i would go back there again no doubt...

Thanks for reading..
See ya around..

Hanging OUT with DAD while Mum is with FRIENDS!!!

Look at Us!!!
Nerdy!!!
My sister looks like that most of the time but not me...
However today was exeptional...
Why???

Just for the fun of it...
what's life when it is all dull and boring?
A very monotonous one... which is not me....

Today my mum is going for lunch with her classmate in Skudai.
so... Dad is driving her there..
Me and my sister are kinda reluctant to go at first but since Dad is in the mood for some bonding time...
We went along...

Usually my Dad is busy either working or hanging out with his friends...
Recently his into karaok...All those oldies is not enough it has to be mandarin oldies...
Even if some chiense old women ask him out for karaok his into it...

Maybe it's a midage or old age thingy...
For now i don't understand where it is coming from...

Anyway We decided to go for Western food...
My friend, see yan recommended me to a restaurant called AnMour.
Seems that the owner is a chirstain... and see yan says it is good...
So i had to go try it out....

AnMour Cafe!!!

No 34, Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/3, Taman Sutera Utama, 81300 Skudai. Johor Bahru, Johor.

As at starter they would serve bread and BBQ sause....
3 people so 3 buns....

well... every table was served this after the server has taken their order...
Maybe it's a way to make us wait longer without us feeling angry or hungry...
But i think this concept is good...

Just like in the chiense restaurant they would serve peanuts, tibits, crackers, pickeled fruit or even chicken feet....
while we wait for the food...
Funny shot....
The bun doesn't look that small any more... lol...
Contrary from the fact...

Enough of that lets see what we ordered....

First dish was the seafood baked cheese rice...
What's in it???
em....
fried rice, mussels, sotong, pasta sause, prawns and cheese
i would rate it a 5/10... either you like it or you don't...

Why???
The cheese is burned....
besides that the cheese don't have the cheesy smell or taste to it...
the sotong is not cleaned properly... in my opinion...

Maybe the chef is having a bad day but hey you are doing busniess...
you can eat til your full but it is not satisfying...

The second dish is Lamb chop...
The price is cheap... i think thats why the type of meat is as well...
the meat is tooo tough...

My dad had to cut it for us....

and not only that the wegdes are not fresh...
in the sense they fry it then leave it aside for quiet some time already...

For this i better not rate....

Bacon spagetti!!!

This i would rate an about an 8/10
why?
because it is flavourful... the saltiness is just nice...
The spagetti is not too soft nor is it too hard..
There are chucks of bacon in it....

Why don't i just give it a 10/10?
it is because there are no vegetables, kinda oily the oily feeling stays in your mouth and the waiting time is way too long...

All the dishes are served ONE BY ONE....
It was not by request...

All this are my personal opinion...
No intention of any form of defamation...

Anyway... i heard they specialist in burgers...
I would try it next time ...

Thats all folks...
Be back for more ...

FOllow me!!! :)

New discovered!!! Feed your skin well....

What is this?????
I don't know whether you have heard of this product before....

HARUHADA
That is the brand ...
it is made in japan...

This is introduced to me by a Sasa Sales girl....
She, herself is using it...

I was looking for a toner and i have gotten something more....

It comes in a pair... or i can say it compliments each other....
They sells it in 2 color...
the pink one like what i have is formulated with soluble Collagen...
The blue one is for hydration...

I bought the pink one as i have another brand, HAda Labo for hydrating my skin...

Haruhada Collagen Cleansing Water
It can be used as a make up remover or just to get rid of dirt on your face...
Even though if you don't put on make up if you go out dust and dirt would thick to your face causing it to remain in your pores...
Whats good is that it not only cleans but moisturizes your skin at the same time.

Haruhada Collagen Moisture Skin Lotion
Acts as a Toner and it moisturizes your skin at the same times...
it is a skin lotion that combines 9 different types of botanical ingredients...

How do you use it???
Well it is pretty simple what you need is some cotton sheets and lets begin;

1) Take Haruhada Collagen Cleansing Water pour the solution on the cotton sheets then press it against your face for a few seconds den wipe.. esspecially if you have make up on...
for normal you just wipe your face with it until you see that the cotton sheets are clean or when your satisfied.

2) Then wash your face with your normal facial wash.
If you have read my raya break (part2) there is this sponge called koncaj which is super good.. the rubs of your dead skin ... use it in a circular motion...
then wipe your face dry...

3) Take Haruhada Collagen Moisture Skin Lotion pour a suitable amount on the cotton sheets wipe it all over your face and neck....

After using  it a few times i feel that my skin is much smoother and i free much cleanner...
It is gentle to the eyes ... at times i accidentialy get it in my eyes but it doesn't hurt... lol...
It might be a little sticky to some people but to me it is just fine...

Use it twice a day... once in the morning and before you sleep...

I bought this from SASA Jusco TErbau City Johor Bahru...
They are having offer on this... for a pair it is rm49.00
If you wanna purchase one alone is rm39.90

And it is 500ml each ...

The Promotion would end on the 28th of september 2012...

In SASA Jusco Terbau City the Haruhada Collagen Moisture SKin Lotion is currently out of stock...
how i know cause i purchased another set...
it is really worth it...
So.... i left my mobile number with them and they would contact me when the stock arrives...

Maybe you can go to other SASA outlet...

For girls like me....
Feed our skin with collagen while we can...

Thats all for now..

HAVE fun....
Thanks for reading....

During my RAYA break (part 2) - bits and pieces!!!!

Bits and pieces of what happened
when my sister is back for the holidays!!!
We went for movies...

Paranorman...
It is a story about a boy who has a special gift...
He can see and communicates with ghost.
Everyone in the neighbourhood thinks his weird even his parents..
and he has a sister who is like some dumb blond... lol...

 WE bought the tickets... see....
No movie would be complete without popcorn!!!!

 continuing the story...
Norman is teased alot in school then later on his uncle everyone thinks his crazy
but he came up to norman and say that he  has to stop the witch spells and the dead will come to life "Zombies"...
So in his quest of stoping it from happening he found out that the witch was actually a little girl who was wrongly put to death because she was different...
The so call Zombies are those people who put her to death... or cause it somehow...
in the end his the hero... predictable but it was funny all the way...
it is a comedy....
soooo ya.... it is a light hearted movie... not scary at all...

Well another issue....
I bought this sweet foxs....
One of my childhood sweet... it is still in the fridge ...
i bought it because it reminds me of my grandfather he use to buy the clear white fox sweet and gave it to us...
He was a loving grandfather... miss him...
He died suddenly... heart attack... he fell and his gone... haiz....
life is sooo fragile...

Next i wanna share with you is this KONJAC facial sponge...
it seems that the different color of the sponge benefits ones differently...
like for the charcoal one it seems that it is for blackheads...

 How it is used?
well soak it in warm water for 3 mintues then put your facial soap on the and rub it on your face... circular motion....
thats all...
after you rinse it off den clean the sponge and put it to dry...

the white aelo is for moisture...

they have tomato and cucumber as well don't know how true of its function but...
after using it your skin feels much cleaner and smoother...

I bought it from SASA just RM9.00..
someother places they sell it so much more ... in sutera mall a store sell it for rm12 or 15+++...
and it is the same thing and when i ask questions ...
the sales girl has no idea about it...

Just buy it in SASA better ....
Use it for a month only then you should get a new one...
You can even google it...
there are good reviews on it... :)

I SCREAM YOU SCREAM FOR ice cream!!!
but this is not like the normal ice cream....
Then what is it?

It is goats milk ice cream...
Goat's milk is much more better then cow's milk because it is much easier to digest.
But the disadvantage of goat's milk is that it smells of goat!!! lol...

However this ice cream is not smelly at all to me...
it cost rm 3.50 if i remember correctly...

i bought it from a shop in Sri Terbau... they sell goat's milk ice cream which looks like potong ice cream that costed rm2.00...
They have cendol, red bean, durian, yam, cempedak and all kinds of flavour...

but the one in the cup the sales girl says it has higher calcium in it and ya i tried it....
it is much creamier and about the calcium other then checking the label... i can prove anything... lol...

I think the shop is easy to spot... same row as the Sri Terbau primary school... i used to study there.. :)
This book i have been trying to finish it.... but i have not... ill tell you the details next time..
Now i am just showing off i am on a journey finishing this book after the 3 hunger games series(books).

 Does this look delicious?????
Curry???
YES!!!!
but it is PORK CURRY!!!! not like the japanese one this is more towards our local malaysian taste buds...
I can just eat this with lots of rice if i really let myself GO.....

We ate this in restaurant Jin Sheng... if i spelled it correctly... it is in Desa Terbau...
This place was introduced by my Aunty...
WE went there after chruch....
The curry was sooooo good!!!
We ordered tofu... but i think this is average like seafood tofu... fried seafood tofu...

Their Steam Chicken was really good!!!
firm meat yet soft and slippery...
My dad eats the skin like no bodies busniess... sooo unhealthy....
But being MAN... they love it...

 VEGE's are a must have....

Overall it was really filling.... for 5 people....
And satisfying....

i always write stuffs on my sisters hand... shes used to it...
she offered her hand to me ...
and there you go.... lol...
If you cant see... i wrote... LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!!

Nice??? :))

AT night we when to my aunties house...
My cousin, IVY... came back for a visit with her hubby and sharlene!!!
We are cam whoring!!!

 Siliy faces...
But sharlene looks like a scared tiger....

BIG SMILE AND HUGE NOSTRILL... funny!

This is a very pretty shot of her....

The picture below is when she was younger... can you see how fast she has grown!!!

I love holiday's where it is filled with lots of stuff to do...
and my sister is around i wouldn't me that lonely... lol....

Thats all the bits and pieces of my holiday....
Have fun reading and
